This is a short clip of us dropping a walnut tree in Nashville, Tennessee. We use cables and careful preparation to direct the fall of the tree.
Tree Crown Thinning is the selective removal of branches/limbs to increase sunlight penetration, air flow, and/or to reduce weight in highly stressed areas. The intent is to improve the tree’s structure while the tree less hospitable for tree pests.
Avoid unnecessary stress by removing no more than a quarter of the living crown at a time. If it is necessary to remove more of the crown, it should be done over a period of successive years.
Our prayers go out to the people and families affected by storms across the Southeast this week. Go to the Red Cross website or text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to give $10 or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.
